Role:
Oxfam in Southern Africa is looking for enumerators to work closely with the MEAL Manager to collect all the necessary data in the Mberengwa District for the GAC project. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the overall supervision of the MEAL Officer, the Registrars will be responsible for performing the following duties:
Supporting field assessments and data collection. Data entry and experience with Excel
Undertaking the registration of all beneficiaries along with their other household members in mobile application systems such as KOBO/ODK/Survey CTO. Clean and upload data to tablets on a daily basis. He/she will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the data and survey materials in a safe and secure manner until they can be returned to the MEAL Agent. Maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of the information collected. Administer a minimum number of questionnaires per day. Facilitate and verify participatory processes for country vulnerability classification. Work closely with field teams/community groups to verify data collected in the field. Complete beneficiary registration with other Oxfam team members.
Support the organization and arrangements for food distribution.
Support post-distribution follow-up activities. Support and assist the EFSVL and MEAL program manager to ensure that the Oxfam system and minimum standards, as well as the administrative functions of the operation, are being implemented effectively. Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor. What we are looking for:

An ideal candidate for this position will have:
Post-A level qualifications (university preferred)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
  • Ability to work in a team and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of technology such as mobile phones and computers
  • Experience in entering, transcribing, recording, storing data/information in written or electronic form (previous recording experience preferred)
    Compassion for Oxfam’s aims and objectives
  • Knowledge of and commitment to humanitarian principles: The Basic Humanitarian Standard, Oxfam International SHERE Principles and Procedures and other regulatory codes
  • Must be based in Mberengwa District
  • Basic working knowledge of English and local languages.
