Description
This activity consists of supporting the staff team working in the 3 museums in Valencia and also supporting the work carried out in the central cultural department of the city of Valencia. The tasks will be related to the preparation of exhibitions, the preservation and maintenance of the museum and exhibitions, the support staff in welcoming visitors to the museum, and the planning, preparation and management of various cultural activities in the city (inside and outside the museum). ). The three museums are: the Natural Sciences Museum, the Rice Museum and the Benlliure House. Volunteers will be assigned to one of these museums based on needs and profile, and this may change during the duration of the volunteering. According to ESC rules, a total of 30 to 35 hours of activity per week will be carried out as part of your volunteering. Accommodation, food and transport
Shared apartment and shared room. This means that there will be 2 people in each room of the apartment. In fact, accommodation in the Valencia region is very difficult and expensive and this is the only way to get it. The apartment was completely renovated in 2024 and is located close to supermarkets and the metro station for easy travel. Food will be organized by volunteers, they will receive a monthly amount for food and they will have to do the shopping and cooking. You will be given a local transport card.
Training during the activity
As part of the ESC volunteering, there will be a pre-departure training (in your country), then a post-arrival training here in Spain and a mid-term evaluation. During your stay in Spain, different training opportunities may occur depending on the situation.
