As part of the promotional activities for World Hearing Day, the World Hearing Forum (WHF), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Coalition for Global Hearing Health (CGHH) are inviting proposals for WHF-CGHH Small Grants for World Hearing Day 2025.
World Hearing Day 2025 will be celebrated on 3 March 2025 with the theme “Changing mindsets: empower yourself to make hearing and hearing care a reality for all”. World Hearing Day 2025 highlights the importance of changing attitudes towards deafness and hearing loss in civil society and health professionals. To promote and support the celebration of World Hearing Day, the World Hearing Forum, WHO and CGHH have launched the World Hearing Day Small Grants Program. Under this program, organizations can apply for a grant of up to $800 to cover expenses related to World Hearing Day activities. A maximum of 50 grants will be awarded based on recommendations made by a selection committee.
To be held on or around World Hearing Day (March 3, 2025)
Focus on: “Changing Mindsets: Empower Yourself to Make Ear and Hearing Care a Reality for Everyone”
Target the general population and/or policymakers to raise awareness about hearing loss
Use WHO awareness materials for the day (translations will be available at www.worldhearingday.org). Have measurable results
Register your event at www.worldhearingday.org. Apply by 3 February 2025
Provide contact details of the host organisation/institution or organizer
Notification of selected recipients will be made by 17 February 2025. Following the event, a brief report with photographs must be submitted to WHO by 15 March 2025. Photographs must include a signed statement of consent from the known persons in the photo.
If reports are submitted by 15 March, recipients will receive up to $800 by 31 March 2025. Grant payments will be delayed for those who file their reports late.
