Projects that support access to education for women and girls and projects that enable rural and/or displaced communities to become more self-reliant.
Eligibility
Organizations must be registered in Malawi as an NGO, CBO or youth organization and meet the following requirements: be registered with the NGO, Ministry of Gender or the National Youth Council; have an annual income of not more than £250,000 (approximately $300,000); have been in business for at least one year with accounts for that period; have at least four directors/board members who are not related to employees or others; provide a reference from a previous or current donor; and have a bank account in the organization’s name that can receive US dollars. Organizations registered in the United Kingdom are eligible to apply if their work in Malawi is locally governed and delivered.
Location:Malawi only. Priority will be given to projects supporting rural communities.
Grant Size:£5,000 per year for up to two years
Eligibility:Malawi-based charities.
