Determined to fully upgrade existing primary health care centres and construct over 8,800 new primary health care centres in all local government areas of the country for the provision of affordable and quality health care by establishing mechanisms for young social responsibility, President H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the establishment of the National Health Fellowship Programme, with young Nigerian scholars to be deployed in all 774 local government areas of the country.
The fellowship programme is being organised by the Sector Approach Coordination Office (SWAp) under the Coordinating Ministry of Health and Social Protection. Fellows will be recruited, compensated and equipped with the right tools to drive positive change in the health sector.

Have a bachelor’s degree (in health, computer science or social sciences). Show interest or experience in the field of public health OR in NGOs and health-related partner organizations OR in community projects that demonstrate leadership and initiative. Applicants must be available to participate full-time in the scholarship program. Candidates must be from the state they are applying from. Candidates must have smartphones with data capabilities, e.g. for WhatsApp, Zoom, etc. Recommendation from the Dean of the University OR from the NYSC Headquarters, or a respected organization that demonstrates character and leadership. Demonstrated analytical skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
