The OECD Internships aim to attract curious and motivated students from diverse backgrounds to the Organization to support the work of the OECD. This is an opportunity for successful candidates to work alongside policy and other specialists and to develop their analytical and technical skills in an international environment.
The OECD welcomes interns on a rolling basis. Students enrolled in a fully accredited degree programme, including Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees, for the duration of their internship can apply online at any time of the year.
We offer flexible arrangements and selected interns can complete internships in person, in a hybrid format, or fully remotely, depending on the needs of their teams.
The OECD’s work with governments around the world covers a wide range of policy challenges, from artificial intelligence and climate change to regulation and education. The work you do will depend on the direction of the work. You may support policy work itself or one of the central functions.
Wherever you work in the OECD, you will help us in our mission to make better policies for better lives.
What you can do:
Prepare studies and papers
Conduct research and review existing papers
Collect, organise and analyse data
Support the production of papers, working papers and publications resulting from the above activities, including drafting notes and preparing technical annexes
Participate in meetings and seminars
Connect and network with officials from national administrations, researchers, other international organisations and delegations from member countries
Support the organisation, communication, planning and evaluation of events.

They are available for a minimum internship period of one month.

Most internships are based at the OECD headquarters in Paris (France). Internships are awarded primarily to nationals of OECD member countries, but are also open to nationals of non-OECD countries for specific programmes and projects, including OECD affiliated organisations and agencies (e.g. OECD International Energy Agency, International Atomic Energy Agency, Financial Action Task Force or International Transport Forum).
