OECD Internship Program ($1000 monthly stipend)

The OECD Internships aim to attract curious and motivated students from diverse backgrounds to the Organization to support the work of the OECD. This is an opportunity for successful candidates to work alongside policy and other specialists and to develop their analytical and technical skills in an international environment.
The OECD welcomes interns on a rolling basis. Students enrolled in a fully accredited degree programme, including Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees, for the duration of their internship can apply online at any time of the year.
We offer flexible arrangements and selected interns can complete internships in person, in a hybrid format, or fully remotely, depending on the needs of their teams.

The OECD’s work with governments around the world covers a wide range of policy challenges, from artificial intelligence and climate change to regulation and education. The work you do will depend on the direction of the work. You may support policy work itself or one of the central functions.

What you can do:
Prepare studies and papers
Conduct research and review existing papers
Collect, organise and analyse data
Support the production of papers, working papers and publications resulting from the above activities, including drafting notes and preparing technical annexes
Participate in meetings and seminars
Connect and network with officials from national administrations, researchers, other international organisations and delegations from member countries
Support the organisation, communication, planning and evaluation of events.

Internships are open to students who:
Are enrolled in a full-time study programme* for the duration of the internship in a field or discipline related to the work of the OECD
They are available for a minimum internship period of one month.
Have an excellent knowledge of one of the two official OECD languages ​​(English and French) and a working knowledge of the other, or a willingness to learn. Knowledge of other languages ​​would be an advantage
Have good quantitative and computer skills
Have good writing and communication skills
Thrive in a multicultural and international team environment.
Most internships are based at the OECD headquarters in Paris (France). Internships are awarded primarily to nationals of OECD member countries, but are also open to nationals of non-OECD countries for specific programmes and projects, including OECD affiliated organisations and agencies (e.g. OECD International Energy Agency, International Atomic Energy Agency, Financial Action Task Force or International Transport Forum).

  • Online courses and programmes that do not require physical attendance or other forms of academic programmes that do not grant students a degree will not be recognised as accredited programmes.
  • Selection Process
  • The selection process consists of four main steps:

  • Pre-selection: All applications are reviewed by the Internship Office and qualified candidates are placed on a shortlist made available to OECD management.
  • Interview and/or written test: Recruitment teams may invite candidates for an interview and/or take part in a written test.
  • Internship agreement: Selected candidates will receive an internship offer and will be invited to sign an internship agreement.
  • Duration of the internship
  • The duration of the internship is one to six months (renewable up to a total of twelve months), full-time (40 hours per week). In exceptional circumstances, part-time internships (minimum 20 hours per week) may be arranged. The OECD encourages potential interns to complete an internship of at least four months to get the most out of their internship experience at the OECD.
  • The start dates of the internship will be determined according to the availability of the interns and the needs of the OECD recruitment teams. Therefore, do not forget to specify your availability in your application. Extras and benefits

Duties and Responsibilities
The Census Taker will be responsible for the following tasks:
Collect field data from beneficiaries of humanitarian intervention
Support the management of qualitative and quantitative survey data. Complete daily tasks assigned and submit collected notes to the supervisor. Support the documentation of lessons learned, best practices and innovations tested in program design. Eligibility Criteria
Education:
A relevant degree in social sciences or a related field (e.g., international development, public health, evaluation, statistics or economics, evaluation or a related field). Required Skills and Experience:
At least five (2) years of progressively responsible experience in designing, managing and implementing results-based RME activities. Hands-on experience in collecting qualitative and quantitative data
Experience in field research and evaluation for a donor-funded project is an asset. Hands-on knowledge in collecting data for research. Experience in conducting assessments, data collection, document/data review, transcribing survey recordings, and writing narrative reports. Specific experience with ODK and Microsoft Office suites. Experience in data analysis (for data quality sources)
Well-developed interpersonal skills in communication and relationship building. Good people management skills and excellent verbal communication skills
Ethics of telephone communication. Ability to listen, adapt, persuade to respond. Language Requirements:
Each candidate must be proficient in the following languages:
English: written and spoken
Verbal proficiency in at least two (2) Nigerian languages, which may include Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Efik, Kanuri, Pidgin and Uroboh

Job Description (Summary)
As a Risk Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory management processes. Warehouse Control:

Comparing physical counts of items with information from the inventory management system. Data Accuracy:
Ensure that all inventory data, including product codes, quantities, and locations, is accurately recorded and updated in the system. Investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Reports:
Generate and analyze inventory audit reports, highlighting deviations, trends, and potential issues/risks. Provide detailed and timely daily/weekly/monthly reports to management, suggesting corrective actions as needed. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations regarding inventory management. Assist in implementing best practices to improve inventory control processes. Collaboration:
Work closely with the warehouse manager and teams to coordinate inventory audits without disrupting daily operations. Communicate effectively with relevant departments to address and resolve inventory discrepancies. Security Measures:

Required Qualifications and Experience
BSc/HND or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or a related field
Must have at least 2 years experience in a supply chain/inventory management environment
Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and general computer usage
Ability to effectively manage competing project deadlines in a high-pressure work environment with varying degrees of supervision.
