Job Purpose: The TdH NL Country Office in Bangladesh is announcing its vacancy for a Project Coordinator (PC). The project is called Speak up! Empowering CSOs to protect the freedom of expression of children and young people by seizing opportunities and addressing challenges in the digital space in Bangladesh. The PC will be responsible for the implementation of the project, which focuses on civil society organizations (CSOs) that interact with girls, boys and children and young people of diverse gender identities who face discrimination based on multiple factors. CSOs will support young people’s online safety and provide them with knowledge and skills to report and prevent online sexual exploitation and abuse and to combat disinformation. The systematic inclusion of children’s and young people’s voices will influence the policy agenda, resulting in reforms that improve the safety and space for freedom of expression of children and young people online.
The PC will ensure coordination between partners, stakeholders at local, national and regional levels, civil society, media and donor agencies, including the European Union, and relevant government agencies for the effective management and successful implementation of the project. Activities in the projects include capacity building, advocacy campaigns, research and collaboration with relevant stakeholders. The PC will also ensure compliance with the policies of the Government of Bangladesh, the European Union and TdH Netherlands and ensure the preparation of detailed and timely progress reports (financial and narrative).
After your first year in this role, your greatest achievement will be to have been able to build the capacity of CSOs by providing them with knowledge and skills so that they can support the online safety of young people and provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to report and prevent sexual exploitation and abuse online and to combat disinformation.
Job Objectives:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for leading the high-quality implementation of the project in close coordination with all stakeholders and partners, ensuring full compliance with the agreed budget and timeline requirements.
Location: This is a national position based in Dhaka and will require field visits to the project areas in Satkhira, Gazipur and Bagerhat districts.
Position in the organization: The Project Coordinator will report to the Country Director for Bangladesh, from whom he/she will benefit from direct supervision and hierarchical support.
Background (education, knowledge and experience) Education: Master’s degree preferred in social sciences/development studies/any relevant field related to child development.
Knowledge and experience:
At least ten years of experience working with NGOs in implementing and managing development projects in the Bangladeshi context
High level of applied or academic thinking and work skills
Knowledge of relevant advocacy networks and forums in Bangladesh with a track record of positive impact
Advanced level knowledge in the field of project management.
Ability to write concrete project work plans and write quarterly and annual reports as required by Terre des Hommes and donors.
Practical experience in project cycle management, including budget management and results monitoring.
Excellent leadership and negotiation skills, experience in coordinating projects with multiple partners and facilitating seminars and training programs. Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
Previous professional knowledge and experience in children’s rights and child development, child and youth group development and learning capture.
Appropriate computer skills are essential to meet the demands of the organizational work.
Language skills: Excellent knowledge of English is essential. Skills: Problem solving skills, high performance, teamwork and team spirit

Job Details Bangladesh Office
The contract will be for a fixed term of three years.
The gross salary for this position is approximately BD 148,850 Taka per month. based on experience and seniority on a full-time contract (40 hours)

An office in the heart of booming Bangladesh. Every employee who has completed the probationary period is entitled to 18 (eighteen) regular working days per year, calculated pro rata and rounded to half-day units.
On an annual basis, the employee is allowed to carry over a maximum of five (5) days of leave from one year to the next and to receive five (5) days of carry-over entitlement for the following year.
Fully paid sick leave is only applicable after the end of the probationary period and up to a maximum of twelve (12) calendar days in twelve months with full pay, or as defined in local labor law.
The insurance fund is paid by the organization at the rate of 10% of the basic salary after the confirmation of the three-month probationary period and 10% of the basic salary is deducted from the salary of the staff which will be paid to the staff after the termination. of the contract. contract. Transportation allowance is paid at BDT 400 per day based on actual office attendance.
Festival compensation is paid twice a year on a pro-rata basis.
