Job Scope
The Program Manager will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating the implementation of the NIN registration initiative for WFP beneficiaries in collaboration with WFP and NIMC. The Project Manager/Project Manager will ensure the smooth execution of the project from planning to implementation, while simultaneously addressing the financial inclusion of underserved and displaced populations. The Program Manager reports directly to the Program Coordinator and is indirectly responsible to the WFP Program Manager. Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop a detailed project plan outlining the activities, timelines and resources required for the NIN registration initiative. Coordinate with WFP and NIMC to align project objectives and ensure that all parties are informed and committed. Plan and conduct regular coordination meetings with WFP, NIMC and other stakeholders. Message Development and Distribution:
Collaborate with WFP and NIMC to create key messages to distribute to beneficiaries. Ensure that all communications are clear, accurate and culturally appropriate. Oversee the distribution of information materials to beneficiaries. Awareness Campaign:
Carry out initiatives to sensitize beneficiaries on the requirements and benefits of obtaining a NIN. Organize information sessions and community awareness events to educate beneficiaries. Ensure that documents are accessible to all, including people with disabilities. Community Engagement:
Facilitate community engagement to determine appropriate times and dates for registration. Engage community leaders and mobilize community structures to support census activities. Ensure that registration activities take into account children’s availability and accommodate their schedules, including weekends. Mobilize community leaders:
Identify and recruit community leaders who can provide validation to beneficiaries, as needed. Train community leaders on their roles and responsibilities in the registration process.
Education requirements: BSC, BA, or B. TEC, LLB, or any comparable degree from an accredited university. An additional benefit is having a graduate degree. Experience: Six (6) years of progressive responsibility in the humanitarian sector; languages: Hausa and English. It is preferable to speak the local dialect.
