Plan International is an independent humanitarian and development organization that promotes children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child, but we know that this potential is often thwarted by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is children who are most affected.
Working with children, young people, advocates and partners, we strive to create a just world by addressing the root causes of the challenges faced by girls and vulnerable children. We support children’s rights from birth to adulthood and empower children to prepare for and respond to crises and disasters. We accelerate change in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.
For over 85 years, we have brought together other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in over 80 countries.
We will not stop until we are all equal.
