The Next Generation Resource Governance Leaders Program is an internship designed to give participants the necessary multidisciplinary intellectual growth, practical skills, and research abilities to think more creatively about solving complex governance challenges. It also aims to balance a healthy dose of theory with real-world application. In order to provide a long-term route for good governance, the program also aims to develop a pipeline of young, pan-African leaders. Our main goal is to use a systematic capacity development process to train and develop young people in a supportive work environment. These will include instruction in digital communication and technology skills, professional and career development, and transformational leadership development. In essence, in addition to receiving technical training in resource governance, interns will receive well-rounded and moral leadership training, as well as the resources and direction required to establish and accomplish reasonable personal and professional goals. Applications are being accepted for ACEP’s eighth cohort.
