We are currently seeking a Senior Investigation Specialist. This is a full-time position. The Senior Investigation Specialist will assist the Investigation Team in coordinating the planning and preparation for large-scale investigations for the organization.
The Senior Investigation Specialist will support the Investigations Council in providing technical oversight, guidance, and quality assurance of multiple complex investigations and assessments. He/she will report to the Investigations Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the technical design and implementation of the survey, including designs, sampling strategies, instrument development, supervision of data collection, design and conduct of mixed methods analyses, and dissemination of results through written reports, publication of peer-reviewed journal articles, and conference presentations. Ensure coordination between planning of the various components of the survey: laboratory, field, community mobilization, return of results, and liaison. Ensure that the survey planning plan is adhered to and that logistical/operational aspects are in place. Provide technical supervision, guidance, and quality assurance for multiple simultaneous complex projects. Advanced skills in at least one statistical package (STATA, R) and experience with multiple analysis packages, including qualitative analysis packages such as NVIVO or Atlas.ti. Design and implement performance monitoring and continuous quality improvement activities required to ensure that evaluation and survey activities are on track and meet donor and government needs. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the implementation of all components of the survey. Support the development of survey concepts and protocols. Provide technical assistance and capacity building to government counterparts and key stakeholders for evaluation and survey.
Qualifications
MBBS, MPH, Master of Science in epidemiology and/or statistics and other relevant fields.
