The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing data collection activities in the CDC-EGHS project. This role involves supervising a data collection team that conducts key informant interviews (KIIs) and provides technical support. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring data quality, adherence to project protocols, and timely completion of tasks. The incumbent will assist the project manager in data analysis, report writing, and day-to-day management of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the planning, implementation and coordination of data collection activities. Supervise and manage a data collection team conducting IKI.
Train data collectors on KII protocols, ethical considerations, and data collection and recording tools. Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to program protocols. Ensure smooth and efficient daily operation of data collection activities and act as the primary administrative point of contact for project staff (data collectors) and selected sites. Coordinate the provision of support services for data collectors and data analysis.
Travel as needed to scheduled locations to assist with program logistics, including financial arrangements, equipment, data collection, supply coordination and travel arrangements.
Verify the completeness, accuracy and reliability of data collected. Develop and maintain records of evaluation activities and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports as required by the Project Manager, funding agencies and/or regulatory bodies
In close collaboration with the Program Director, coordinates the implementation of the approved program work plan.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of team members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program objectives to implement safeguarding. Act as a primary source of support, guidance and safeguarding expertise to create a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse safeguarding policy issues among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in all action plans.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure if there is a reportable incident, encourage others to do so.
Qualifications required
At least 5 years working experience with DGHS.
Proven experience in health system management.
Candidate must be an MBBS graduate.
Having an MPH will be an added advantage.

Extensive knowledge and experience in public health
Previous professional experience with government stakeholders
Strong communication and networking skills
