The Policy Leader Fellowship (PLF) is a residential program at the Florence School of Transnational Governance (STG) for mid-career policy professionals from a variety of political fields: politics, civil service, media, non-governmental organizations, and others . This unique program is integrated into one of Europe’s most famous academic institutions and offers its fellows a privileged insight into the EU’s decision-making processes. The program specifically aims to attract people with diverse practical experience in policy making around the world and does not require an academic background. In addition to direct access to STG and the EUI community of professors and researchers, fellows learn from each other and create lasting professional and personal connections.
Fellows spend five to ten months at the STG to develop policy recommendations and practical solutions to pressing problems of international importance, inspired and informed by their professional experience. In addition, fellows participate in professional training and can freely participate in the academic life and activities of the EUI to enhance their scholarship project. At the same time, Fellows enrich the STG community by bringing their first-hand experiences in teaching, training and networking to the School.
At the end of the program, fellows join a global alumni network of policy professionals and have access to continuing education opportunities at the EUI.
We accept applications from all over the world, regardless of nationality. European citizenship is not required. Although there is no age limit, candidates must have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience. For other selection criteria, more information and to apply before January 24, 2025, see https://apply.eui.eu/osiris_aanmeld_euiprd/Welkom.do.
