Credence and its partner, the Public Health Institute (PHI), are both employers for GHTASC and are seeking a Program Assistant as part of GHTASC. This position will be associated with the Institute of Public Health (IPSH).
The Global Health Training, Consulting and Support Contract (GHTASC) provides an effective global health program to advance the mission of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of Global Health (GH) through institutional support services and workforce development of young, mid-level, senior professionals and experts in consulting and administration. The Office of Global Health (OH) Office of Population and Reproductive Health (PRH) advances and supports family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) programs worldwide. The office provides global coordination and leadership to improve health policy, advocacy, and outcomes; generates, organizes, and disseminates knowledge in response to global and national needs; and partners with USAID field missions to accelerate progress toward the goal of FP/RH development. The Policy, Evaluation, and Communications Division (PEC) in PRH creates an enabling environment for FP/RH. The PEC Division works with partners within and outside USAID to promote effective family planning advocacy, policy, funding, and governance; collect, analyze, and evaluate data for evidence-based decision-making; develop and implement social and behavioral change and knowledge management efforts to influence attitudes, norms, and behaviors; and generate, manage, organize, share, and use knowledge to create value or support decision-making in context. The PEC provides technical leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of implementation, field mission support, partner coordination, and performance monitoring for family planning. The PEC also provides technical input to evaluation efforts in the population, health, and food sectors.
The Program Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of complex and routine administrative and analytical tasks to support the Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) and Knowledge Management (KM) teams in the PEC Division. These tasks are very broad and include administrative tasks, such as planning and preparing conferences and meetings and maintaining program files, as well as more complex analytical tasks, such as collecting, compiling and l ‘data analysis for various program documents and the design and maintenance of spreadsheets to support financial tracking systems. The Program Assistant works with team members to provide general administrative support and perform other duties and support liaison and communication with other agency offices. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, Associate’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, OR High School diploma and 8 years of relevant experience
US citizenship or permanent residency in the United States with the ability to obtain and maintain facility entry authorization is required.
