The Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN) is the first independent, non-profit industry association established by stakeholders in the renewable energy sector in Nigeria. REAN is an industry association of renewable energy professionals, project developers and practitioners that promotes the interests of the private sector in the renewable energy sector in Nigeria. REAN is committed to promoting the growth and development of the industry in Nigeria by engaging with the public and private sectors to drive advocacy, policy formulation and investment in the sector.
Job Description
The Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN) is seeking to recruit a motivated and dynamic intern to support the planning and implementation of the association’s program activities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy (RE) sector and contribute to impactful initiatives that shape the future of sustainable energy in Nigeria.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of REAN programs and activities. Conduct research and prepare reports on local and international renewable energy trends, policies, market dynamics, business models and best practices. Support the organization in coordinating meetings, seminars, conferences and other events. Prepare communication materials including concept notes, advocacy position papers, sector reports, policy briefs and notes, newsletters and social media content. Collaborate with stakeholders, including government ministries, agencies and bodies, development partners, private sector organizations, philanthropic organizations, foundations and civil society, to support the program’s objectives. Performs administrative functions necessary to support program activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, public policy, sustainable development, environmental science, energy governance, or related field. A master’s degree would be an added advantage. Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in program development and implementation in a think tank, research institute, or non-profit organization.
