Main Responsibilities:

  1. People and Human Resources Management:
    Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion and accountability within a multidisciplinary team. Inspire and nurture talent, creating opportunities for professional growth and leadership development. Promote a results-driven culture by setting clear objectives and monitoring progress. Lead organizational change processes sensitively, ensuring staff commitment and buy-in. Prioritize succession planning to improve team resilience and continuity. 2. Strategic Planning and Implementation:
    Lead the development and execution of CARE Kenya’s multi-year national strategy, aligning with global and regional priorities. Conduct regular situational analysis to identify emerging opportunities and challenges. Position CARE Kenya as a thought leader in areas such as climate resilience, gender equality and humanitarian response. Develop innovative resource mobilization strategies targeting institutional donors, private sector actors and philanthropic organizations. 3. Program Impact and Relevance:
    Ensure that programs are evidence-based, locally focused, and responsive to the needs of marginalized communities. Strengthen partnerships with civil society organizations to co-create solutions and promote local ownership. Leverage the Kenyan private sector to form shared value partnerships to address development challenges. Supports systemic change that addresses the root causes of poverty and inequality. Leads the localization program by building the capacity of local organizations and fostering equitable partnerships. 4. Resource Mobilization, Management, and Operational Sustainability:
    Implements a diversified resource mobilization strategy targeting institutional donors, the private sector, and philanthropic organizations. Cultivates relationships with traditional and non-traditional donors to ensure sustainable funding. Oversee operational systems to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with CARE global standards. Lead risk management efforts to protect resources, mitigate fraud, and ensure legal compliance. Enhance financial sustainability through sound budgeting, cost recovery mechanisms, and financial planning.
  2. Qualifications and Experience:
  3. Strategic and Operational Leadership:
  4. At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in international development or humanitarian action, preferably in East Africa. Proven ability to lead strategy development and execution in complex multi-stakeholder environments. Strong conceptual and analytical skills to address dynamic challenges. Software Knowledge:
  5. In-depth knowledge of Kenya’s development landscape, including gender inequality, climate resilience and poverty reduction. Experience designing and scaling evidence-based programs with measurable impact. Resource Mobilization:
  6. Proven success in mobilizing significant resources from institutional donors, the private sector and philanthropic organizations. Experience in building partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations and private sector stakeholders. People and Relationship Management:
  7. Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams. Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams in cross-cultural contexts, including capacity building and conflict resolution. Demonstrated resilience and use of positive coping strategies in stressful environments. Financial and operational management:
  8. Experience in managing multi-million dollar budgets with a focus on accountability, transparency and value for money. Strong operational management skills, including risk management and donor compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Census Taker will be responsible for the following tasks:
Collect field data from beneficiaries of humanitarian intervention
Support the management of qualitative and quantitative survey data. Complete daily tasks assigned and submit collected notes to the supervisor. Support the documentation of lessons learned, best practices and innovations tested in program design. Eligibility Criteria
Education:
A relevant degree in social sciences or a related field (e.g., international development, public health, evaluation, statistics or economics, evaluation or a related field). Required Skills and Experience:
At least five (2) years of progressively responsible experience in designing, managing and implementing results-based RME activities. Hands-on experience in collecting qualitative and quantitative data
Experience in field research and evaluation for a donor-funded project is an asset. Hands-on knowledge in collecting data for research. Experience in conducting assessments, data collection, document/data review, transcribing survey recordings, and writing narrative reports. Specific experience with ODK and Microsoft Office suites. Experience in data analysis (for data quality sources)
Well-developed interpersonal skills in communication and relationship building. Good people management skills and excellent verbal communication skills
Ethics of telephone communication. Ability to listen, adapt, persuade to respond. Language Requirements:
Each candidate must be proficient in the following languages:
English: written and spoken

Job Description (Summary)
As a Risk Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory management processes. This role involves meticulously examining and verifying the physical presence of goods in a warehouse, comparing them with recorded data, and identifying discrepancies. The risk manager plays a crucial role in maintaining effective inventory control and preventing losses due to errors or theft.
Warehouse Control:
Recording daily stock/inventory movements
Performing regular and systematic audits of stock levels to verify accuracy. Inventory tracking and updating proper data
Comparing physical counts of items with information from the inventory management system. Data Accuracy:
Ensure that all inventory data, including product codes, quantities, and locations, is accurately recorded and updated in the system. Investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Reports:
Generate and analyze inventory audit reports, highlighting deviations, trends, and potential issues/risks. Provide detailed and timely daily/weekly/monthly reports to management, suggesting corrective actions as needed. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations regarding inventory management. Assist in implementing best practices to improve inventory control processes. Collaboration:
Work closely with the warehouse manager and teams to coordinate inventory audits without disrupting daily operations. Communicate effectively with relevant departments to address and resolve inventory discrepancies. Security Measures:
Work with security personnel to implement measures that prevent theft, damage or unauthorized access to storage areas. Participate in stock loss investigations and propose preventive measures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
BSc/HND or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or a related field
Must have at least 2 years experience in a supply chain/inventory management environment
Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and general computer usage
Ability to effectively manage competing project deadlines in a high-pressure work environment with varying degrees of supervision.
